A delegation consisting of journalists and media experts from the United States, as a part of the visit to the liberated territories, paid a visit to Shusha – cultural capital of Azerbaijan.

According to the State Committee on Work with Diaspora, an employee of Shusha City State Reserve Department gave detailed information to the guests about the history and development of Shusha, one of the most important cities of Azerbaijan and the music center of the Caucasus. It was noted that during the years of occupation, historical, architectural, cultural and religious monuments of the city were exposed to Armenian vandalism in order to erase the historical traces of Azerbaijanis. The employee of the State Reserve also touched upon ongoing reconstruction and restoration in the city and answered questions.

The delegation also visited “Shot Statues” square , the House of Khurshudbanu Natavan ,”Khan Gizi Spring”, Yukhari Govharaga Mosque, Museum-mausoleum of Molla Panah Vagif, Ganja Gate, Shusha Castle and Jidir Plain.
